Kat is a self-taught mixed-media artist who focuses mainly on painting her feelings with acrylic on canvas. Growing up in a military family that moved duty stations around every two years, art became one of the only constants in her life. Battling anxiety and depression from early childhood, in high school she turned to her creativity in a new way; to cope. Self-portraits with bright colors and melancholic hidden meanings became a means for her to process the inner turmoil she had to grapple with. Kat loves medieval fantasy, goofy looking animals, playing video games with rich storylines, and Korean food. She currently lives in Central Texas with her partner, Keian, and their three pets: Panda, a GSD/Husky mix, and two cats, Cinnamon and Eclair.
